They offer carpets made of paper, sisal, coir, jute, hemp, seagrass, paper and wool blends with natural latex and jute backings. Plant fiber carpets are completely biodegradable and rapidly renewable. As with all natural fibers, variations in color and texture are common. These rugs are have some limitations and are not for everyone. Plant fiber carpets are typically not as durable as wool and because they absorb liquids, have a greater tendency to stain. Some of the looser woven products can dent underneath heavy furniture. However, they create a very natural look and they do not generate static electricity.
