Due to its environmental benefits and contemporary colors, linoleum is enjoying a return to popularity. It is extremely durable, water-resistant, easy to clean and durable and is ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Unlike vinyl flooring which has a thin color layer that can wear off in just a few years, linoleum is colored all the way through the material and easily lasts 30 years or more. Linoleum does not contain significant petroleum-based products or chlorinated chemicals, as does vinyl (PVC) flooring-which is often mistakenly referred to as linoleum.
Linoleum is made from all renewable materials including linseed oil, pigments and pine flour with a natural jute backing. It comes in over 100 colors in the sheet material and 30 colors in the tile line.
Prices are $31.95 per square yard for sheets and approximately $4.25 per square foot for tiles
