The Green Building Center has
organized a Green Home Tour
each fall since 2005. The tour
features approximately 10
homes in the Salt Lake Valley
and Park City area that are
exemplary examples of
multiple green strategies. We
strive to educate the
participants on renewable
energy, energy efficiency,
indoor air quality, recycled
and recyclable materials,
water saving strategies and
products and good design.
We seek a balance of new
construction and remodels as
well as multi-housing units and
single family dwellings and we
aim to show affordable homes
as well as luxury homes and
everything in between. Each
year, 20% of the proceeds go
to DesignBuildBLUFF, a
non-profit building low income
housing on the Navajo
reservation.
